Cookies with egg whites (but it’s not Meringue) - Kolac od belanaca (ali nisu Puslice)

When we bake something we often have surplus whites. What to do with them? Here are suggestions for a tasty cake


Cookies with egg whites (but it’s not Meringue)

Ingredients:
1 cup   egg whites
1 cup   sugar
1 cup   flour
1 cup   chopped nuts and dried fruits (grapes, figs, dates, apricots, cranberry and whatever you like)
½ cup  melted butter, margarine or oil
10g      vanilla sugar or 1 vanilla

Preparation:
Chopped fruits put in flour and rub it so it’s not stay stuck together. Beat the egg whites and add the sugar with vanilla gradually for 15min. Then mix it intermittently with melted butter and flour with fruits. When you mix it well put the mass into the greased and sprinkled with flour corrugated baking tray. Bake it into the oven about 30min on 250°C - 482°F. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar.

Kolac sa belancima

Sastojci:
1 solja     belanaca
1 solja     secera
1 solja     brasna
1 solja     seckanih oraha i suvog voca (grozdje, smokve, urme, kajsije, brusnice i sta god volite)
½ solje    butera, margarina ili ulja – rastopljenog
1kesica    vanillin secera – 10g ili sipka vanile (rasecena i uzeto seme)

Priprema:
Iseceno voce staviti u brasno i trljati da ne ostane slepljeno. Ulupati belanca postepeno dodajuci secer i vanilu. Lupati 15min, a zatim umesati naizmenicno brasno sa vocem i rastopljeni buter. Sipati u podmazan i brasnom posut rebrasti pleh i peci u dobro zagrejenoj pecnici (250°C) oko pola sata. Pecen kolac posuti prah secerom.
